Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great holiday. Mine was wonderful!...fast, but wonderful none-the-less. As always, I am pumped about the new year. I hope its great for all of us.
Here is the set design I mentioned in my last update. Just click the picture, and you'll be able to see the development of the new set, from what they had before, to the 3d concept (my part), to the end result which is the actual physical representation of our (Farris') concept.

I got to tell you, as a 3d artist, it is surreal to see what I built on the computer come to life. I am so grateful for the experience...what a thrill!

Take care friends, till next time.

>OCTOBER - 2006
Well friends, the day is finally here! For those of you who weren't aware, I've been working on a very large portrait (freelance job) over the past two years. It is finally complete!
I must thank Ray Carroll for the enlisting me to do this project. Although, I would be remiss not to say that it was a very daunting task. The job entailed doing a pencil portrait of 13 subjects, family members of Mr. Carrolls on a 30 x 40 illustration board. The portrait, once completed, was then married to a charcoal matte, on which I drew hands holding various objects that reflected special interests, jobs, or hobbies of their respective family members in the portrait itself. I hope you enjoy it! Click the pic for a larger image.

Check back soon, the set design I mentioned on the last update will be revealed on-air tentatively on November 7. I will be posting the 3d proposal designs I did soon. See you then.
>AUGUST - 2006
"...Wastin' away again in Margaritaville...",  to quote Buffett. What a great Summer it has been. Hope it's been great for all of you as well. Although it's nearly over, there is still plenty of Summer-fun to be had!
I must admit perhaps maybe I've been having too much fun this Summer as I've neglected the site quite a bit, in reference to updates. I'm going to put forth an effort to update more often. That way you have a reason to come back and visit, and it'll keep me in gear work wise, because I'll need a reason to update. It's a win-win for all of us.

I do have some news. In working with Farris, we've pitched a local news station on a complete studio revamp. The proposal was fleshed out by me via 3D Modeling. I'm happy to say that they were blown away by our design and we got the job. The actual physical representation of the design is being built as I type this and it will be complete hopefully by the end of September. Till then, I cannot post the 3D images of the set proposal, for obvious legal reasons. But, rest assured when it has been built, I will post the images right away.

Thanks everyone for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your Summer.

Happy New Year! It's been awhile since my last update. Hope you all are well. Things are going great for me and I am looking forward to this new year.
Last time I posted, I mentioned the 3d work I was doing for Farris. Below are a few pics of a mascot we pitched to a prospective client. I even included a little movie clip! The clip is primitive and was only done to bring the model to life. You'll note that the dog has nothing inside his mouth, had we gotten the job, this would have been done. You will need Quicktime to play this. Right click here or on the quicktime logo and "save target as"
right click & save as
It was fun to model this guy. The client loved it but was not able to pull the trigger on the project for confidential reasons. This has however opened the door for us to integrate 3d animation into one of the many services we offer.

My creative juices have been almost entirely consumed by my job. I have not made much headway with my 3d projects since my last post. My focus outside of work is going to completing a matte for a freelance portrait I did. Once that is complete, I am going full bore on my Christmas Stalking project. I'll keep you informed. Take care friends.
>APRIL - 2005
Hi friends, just checking in, it's been awhile. I hope you're all doing well! SUMMER is just around the corner! It's nice to know that we won't see SNOW for another 6 or 7 months.
I have some new 3d stuff in the works with Farris, I hope I'm able to post it on here :( ...I am not sure I can, because of confidentiality, I'll find out though. Until then, enjoy the teaser update icon, that should be safe to post.

Here's some news in the realm of drawing. I completed a 13-subject pencil portrait, here are some snapshots I took with my phone, I'll get better pictures as soon as I can. I still have work to do on the matte, so I'll probably take those pictures when that is done. Stay in touch everyone! Take care!

Hello all, I just wanted to drop a line or two to update everyone. Since my last update I got a new computer (thanks Wayne). Now I have no excuse for not working, this machine is a beast!
Along with working my regular job at Farris, I've also done some texturing for the Unreal Tournament video game mod Red Orchestra. Check it out, it's awesome! Happy New Year everybody, take care!
>SEPTEMBER - 2004
Hello everyone, as you can see, I have been pretty busy. I have redesigned the site...again...lol. I've finally come up with a design I can live with,...I liked my other ones, but I've never been as satisfied as I am with this one. So, I think it will be here for awhile. Hope you all like it.
I've gotten a lot of positive feedback for my new piece "Rebel Grouser", thanks to all who commented, I appreciate it. Yes, I'm going to continue the piece as soon as I can. My time, as of late, has run thin. Not to mention the fact that my computer doesn't seem to handle my 3d work as well as it used to, I think I've worn it out. The good news is, I'm building a new one, slowly, but I'm doing it none-the-less. Ok friends, I've said my piece, I have to go, so take care and let me know what you think about the new design, email me or sign my guestbook on the opening page. Bye!

"...Change is gonna come!" It's not just a Sam Cooke song, it's my new motto!

Hello friends! Once again I find myself in the position of apologizing for lack of updates. To look at it in a positive light though, I have many juicy new tidbits to share with you, as they have been piling up. Rather than squeeze them all into this update, I'll share some with you for now, then leave you with a message. That message is as indicated in the opening line... things will be changing on this site, in more ways than one and all for the better.

The main change is going to be more frequent updates from me, the longest you'll have to wait for an update is maybe 3 months. If no news happens in that span of time, I'll make something up ; ). I'm actually hoping for once a month though as I'll have a lot to keep you up-to-date on.

The other change is a big one. I'm redesigning the site and hope to launch it in a few months. I'm only planning this because I'm updating my demo reel and feel the whole portfolio is in need of a tune-up. For right now I've stripped the site down to the bare necessities. I'll get the remaining pages up and running in the next few days.

P.S. - In case you missed the link, check out my 3D page that's where my update is.
